A PLAY OF TRANSPOSITION
Beyond the gaze, the transposition of periods also embodies ANNABELLE's artistic DNA. While drawing inspiration from Renaissance aesthetic codes, such as black backgrounds, lace, velvet, and jewelry typical of the 16th century, ANNABELLE fuses eras with subjects that reflect hyper-contemporary beauty standards. She thus creates a timeless, mysterious, and independent female figure, a modern warrior draped in lace, whose appearance recalls that of social media celebrities in a Renaissance setting.
Sylva comes from the Latin word silva, meaning "forest," "wood," "jungle."
The name evokes a connection to nature, a certain mystery, calm, and a form of wild beauty. Like the forest from which she takes her name, Sylva appears calm on the surface, but she harbors an inner richness, a depth of soul. She can give the impression of being both introspective and connected to the essential. Sylva's nobility lies not in titles or trappings, but in a natural refinement and quiet dignity.
