CANVASES

DOES BEAUTY RESIDE ONLY IN THE EYES
OF THE BEholder?

Annabelle's artistic quest unfolds in the creation of a human beauty that strives for perfection, an ideal she crystallizes in the gaze, the epicenter where emotion is born.

EYES, WINDOWS TO THE SOUL
Annabelle's eyes, a true artistic signature, embody the infinite quest for beauty that defines all her work. Windows to the soul, according to the artist, their hyperrealism inspires
a deep emotion, creating a dialogue where the subject and the viewer reveal themselves.

IN THE SECRETS

from the workshop

ANNABELLE begins her work with preparatory work to create a "perfect face" according to current beauty standards: proportionate features, radiant skin, captivating eyes, perfect eyebrows, a delicate nose, defined jawline, and prominent cheekbones. Freckles and loose hair add a wild and playful touch.

Once the charcoal sketch is completed on canvas, the artist uses both oil and acrylic paints together, as they differ considerably in terms of technique and, above all, rendering. Oil offers brilliance and depth, acrylic spontaneity and flexibility.

The artist primarily employs hyperrealist techniques, such as glazing, color gradients, the use of fine brushes, mixing mediums, and attention to the gaze. To depict the eyes and lace details, the artist uses nail art brushes due to their extreme finesse.

Black backgrounds highlight the main subject, eliminating distractions and accentuating the model's features and emotions, creating an intimate atmosphere that enhances the emotional impact of the portrait.
